Ceremony: Chapel at Treasure Island
Reception: Yank Sing Restaurant, San Francisco

Alvin and Amy tied the knot with traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony followed by an American Ceremony at the Chapel at Treasure Island. They had a delicious, multi-course Chinese feast at Yank Sing Restaurant. We were extremely happy to coordinate and provide flowers for Amy and Alvin. The bold, bright colors they chose are always a delight for us florists. They were a wonderful couple to work with. We wish them the best of luck in their new life together.

The Rengstorff House, Mountain View

Stacey and Eric exchanged vows at the beautiful Rengstorff House. The estate is nestled behind the Shoreline Amphitheater. A perfect summer day allowed the couple and their family and friends to enjoy a beautiful outdoor venue. It was a perfect start to a new life together.

Throughout the year, DBDE is often asked to do arrangements for other special events besides weddings. Many times, these events are for people near and dear to us. We are always happy to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Perhaps the best part of doing these arrangements is that we have creative control over what is produced. It gives us a chance to try out new and exciting things.
First up, we have baby Aidan-son of Chrissy Alday who is a very special friend of DBDE. Since his baptism took place in a restaurant-there wasn’t a need for centerpieces at each table. So instead we created a focal centerpiece that greeted guests as they arrived.

Next, we have baby Kait who had a very special 1st Birthday and Baptism at the Marriott Hotel in San Mateo. Her Mommy insisted we use a purple and pink color palette to insure the very special Princess had an ultra girly vibe.

We designed a Baby Shower for Samantha and Anthony in anticipation of their baby’s arrival. Anthony’s family home served as a wonderful backdrop for an outdoor party. The couple opted to keep the sex of their baby a surprise from everyone-including themselves. Because of this, we decided to use gender neutral colors including green, brown and yellow.

Nichole and Alex hail from San Francisco. They wanted to give their guests a “destination” wedding feel without the actual destination. Thus, their ceremony and reception was held at the quaint, Vine Hill House in Sebastopol. Bright, bold flowers and colors added a touch of elegance to the country locale.

We loved the elephant topiaries we created for Sheela as well as the other special touches she had us put together. It was something new and unique. Sheela told us the elephants were a huge hit with her guests which made us extremely happy.

Ceremony: Old St. Hilary Church, Tiburon
Reception: The Corinthian Yacht Club, Tiburon
Photography: Special thanks to Adi Nevo (www.adinevo.com) for generously sharing these beautiful pictures with us. We have worked with Adi once before and the work she produces is absolutely stunning. We look forward to working with her again in the near future.
Indiana is a fellow Mercy, Burlingame alumni. She came to us with a fresh and bold black and white wedding. It was very classic, yet also modern at the same time. The venues she chose were breathtaking and gave a very traditional backdrop to the wedding. But the decor she chose, which included square tables, black chiavari chairs, white ostrich feathers and white flowers with black accents, gave it a very chic flare.
Hope you guys enjoy these images just as much as we do!

Catherine, a very good friend of DBDE, celebrated her ThirtySomething Birthday last month. She wanted a party that was unique and that reflected her love for pop culture television. Since she was born in the 70’s, we came up with a Super Chic 70’s TV show themed party-with a casino twist! Good food and drinks made for a great time for Catherine and her friends. Now, onto the decor!
Special thanks to Ginno Emmanuel for the inspiration for much of the table decor. He also custom made many of the table elements including the Kitty Carry-All doll and Wonder Woman tiara!
Brady bunch table complete with custom made kitty carry-all, a bad luck tiki god, a football for Marcia’s nose and much more!

Gerbera daisy’s were used throughout the room for an ultra flower power flair!

The Wonder Woman Table was a favorite for many! This table boasted a custom made tiara, wrist cuffs and of course a lasso! Each table scape had a picture of the Television Show cast. One character’s face was replaced by the Birthday Girls image!

The Charlie’s Angel table was so much fun to put together. A voice speaker box, wig, fake hand gun and red lipstick were just a few elenents used to put the table scape together.

It’s always great to do a wedding in the Livermore Valley. We started working with Marilu and Eric almost one year ago. She had great vision and taste when it came to her floral decor. We truly enjoy creating arrangements with purple hues because its so rare that couples choose such bold colors. We also assisted Marilu in coordinating the days events. It turned out to be a wonderful day of music and dancing. The couple also had a photo booth had the guests raving!
